Itinerary:

Day 1 Johannesburg/ Greater Kruger National Park
Depart the modernity of Johannesburg and set off early for an exciting journey into one of the world’s best safari destinations. Reputed to have the continent’s greatest variety of animals, this area is a sprawling stretch of savanna dotted with acacia thickets. Arrive in time for a late afternoon game drive in a private reserve. This is the first golden opportunity to spot Africa’s legendary wildlife. Stop to enjoy a drink at one of the waterholes, then continue the safari as dusk settles over the African bush. In the evening, share a traditional South African meal before retiring to sleep in a comfortable lodge on the outskirts of the park.

Day 2 Kruger National Park
Spend the day on thrilling game drives along some of the Kruger’s best routes. From the safari vehicle, keep eyes peeled on the search for the Big Five – elephants, lions, rhinos, leopards and buffaloes. Watch out for many other species that flourish here, including giraffes, impala, hippos and hyenas. Admire various colourful bird species and visit waterholes – the perfect places to spy some of the park’s more elusive inhabitants as they come to drink.

Day 3 Johannesburg
At daybreak, head out on a morning walk with an expert local guide and uncover some African nature secrets. Learn about various animal and bird species as well as the many plants that flourish within the reserve. Afterwards, enjoy a delicious brunch at the lodge before heading back to the bright lights of Johannesburg, stopping along the way to take in awesome views of the Blyde River Canyon.
