Take the N4 from JHB / Pretoria. Bypass Witbank and Middelburg, continue onto Belfast. From Belfast travel towards Dullstroom and then on to Lydenburg. From Lydenburg take the R36 to Orighstad and continue straight until you pass through the JG Strijdom Tunnel. From the tunnel continue for approximately 27 km. Turn right at the R531 to Orpen Gate. Continue straight along the R 531 for approximately 32km until you reach a sign pointing to Orpen & South African Wildlife College R 531. Turn left and continue on the R 531 for about 2 km. Turn left onto the first dirt road, Guernsey road. Pass through the security gates. Continue on the dirt road for about 8 km. As you pass Waterbuck game farm slow down. The entrance will be on your right hand side. “Guernsey Conservancy” will mark the entrance. Continue on the little dirt road until you get to the big guarded gate of the Guernsey Conservancy. After you have entered this gate, please follow the signs to the Thornhill Safari Lodge.
