Facilities
Reception
Open from 07:00 until late – the manager on duty will help you with all your requests and booking of optional activities.
Bar
Our bar is open all day – we serve soft drinks, local and international beers, South African wines and the classical alcohols and liqueurs. We also offer complementary tea and coffee to our guests. The coffee station is located either outside on the deck or in the dining room.
Pool
Pool is used at own risk at all times. Minors must be under adult supervision.
Lounge & Reading Area
Lounge in the public reading area and enjoy a relax afternoon or play one of our board games.
Internet Facilities
For all your internet enquiries, please ask the lodge management for assistance. The lodge is equipped with a wi-fi connection, vouchers are available for sale at the reception. A laptop is available for the guests – it is located in the dining room.

General Information
Binoculars
As an extra service, we offer binoculars for rent on a daily basis. They are quite useful for the Kruger trips, especially in the summer when the bush is very thick and for birds enthusiasts. Cost of rental is R80.00 for the day. Please enquire to the manager on duty.
Health Requirements
Malaria precautions are advised in summer (October – April). We strongly suggest that you make use of the mosquito nets. Mosquito repellent cream is available in your bathroom. If necessary, we have insect repellent sprays at your disposal.
Laundry Service
We provide a laundry service for personal items. Please ask for a bag at reception. Laundry will be available within 24 hours. Cost per bag: R50.00
Meals
Breakfast between 07:30 and 08:30
Lunch between 13:30 and 14:30
Dinner between 19:00 and 20:00
They are announced by the beat of the drums – don’t miss it!
Payments
Your bar account, together with any optional activity, must be settled in full prior to your departure. We accept cash and credit cards.
Safety Deposit
We have a safety deposit box in the office for your valuables. Please arrange with lodge management. Keys for the room are available at reception.
Special Dietary Requirements
If you have any special dietary requirements, please talk to us so that we can arrange the proper meals with our kitchen. If you are celebrating your birthday while staying with us, please let us know and we will prepare a special cake.
Tips
Although not compulsory, tips are welcome – there is a tip box in the office. It will be distributed in full to the staff who will share it amongst them.
Water
Our water originates from a borehole – although it is safe for consumption, we recommend you buy mineral water from our bar. We kindly ask you to use the water sparingly.
Wildlife
Please note that we sometimes get visits from baboons and monkeys around the lodge. Thus please keep the windows and doors closed while not in the room.
